Lúcia holds a PhD in Biomedicine from NOVA Medical School|Faculdade de Ciências Médicas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (NMS|FCM) and Universidade de Aveiro (UA). Her PhD was focused on clinical research, and she was the project manager of the MyoSpa and SarcoAging studies by the Rheumatical Disease group of NMS Research. Lúcia Domingues actively collaborates with Escola Superior de Saúde of Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal as Assistant Lecturer Invited of the Master and Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy, involving supervision of master students in clinical research projects. Lúcia is also coordinating the Masters Degree in Clinical Research Management since 2022.

Lúcia is also author of scientific articles in national and international publications of clinical research and has taken leadership on the development of a systematic review in collaboration with Cochrane Library.

Lúcia is now working as the NOVA CRU Manager.
