NOVA Clinical Research Unit (NOVA CRU) is an academic Contract Research Organisation (CRO) based at NOVA Medical School (NMS). We are the preferential point-of-contact for planning and seting up Investigator and Industry iniciated clinical investigation studies. NOVA CRU is a joint venture between NOVA Medical School (NMS|FCM) and NOVA Information Management School (NOVA IMS).

NOVA CRU is a service provider unit offering expertise and support for the design, implementation and management of multicenter clinical trials, clinical investigation with medical devices, clinical performance studies and other complex studies, according to the standards required by ethics and regulatory authorities.

Services of NOVA CRU include all stages of a clinical trial: costing for grant proposals, developing protocols, obtaining necessary approvals, delivery, quality control, data management, final analysis and outcomes reporting.

NOVA CRU is one of the 14 members of the Portuguese Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (PtCRIN), that is a member of the European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (ECRIN). Therefore NOVA CRU is an open-window to the international world of clinical studies.
