Senior Clinical and Scientific Lead
Emilia Monteiro is full professor of Pharmacology and vice-dean at NOVA Medical School (Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal) where she leads a research group (Translational Pharmacology) at CEDOC (Chronic Diseases Research Centre). She completed her graduation in Medicine and a PhD in Physiology at Universidad de Navarra (Spain) and a PhD in Pharmacology at Universidade do Porto (Portugal).
Presently, is member of the Portuguese National Ethics Committee for clinical trials (CEIC), member of the scientific council of the French Drug Agency (ANMS), head of the Portuguese Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (PtCRIN) and co-director of the Portugal Clinical Scholars Research Training a national partnership with Harvard Medical School (PTCSRT).
